How Accrue is paid for distributing mutual fund schemes.
How Accrue is paid
Accrue Finvisor LLP is an AMFI-registered Mutual Fund Distributor (ARN 162637). When a client invests in a mutual fund scheme through Accrue, Accrue earns a distribution commission from the asset management company (AMC), as permitted under the regulatory framework. This commission is paid by the AMC, not charged to the client directly. Accrue does not charge clients an advisory or AUM fee.
Trail commission by scheme type
The commission is a trail commission: a percentage of the average assets under management (AUM) of the client’s investment, paid every year for as long as the investment is held.
| Scheme type | Trail commission (% p.a.) |
|---|---|
| Liquid, overnight and money-market funds | 0.02% – 0.45% |
| Debt funds (other than liquid and overnight) | 0.02% – 1.10% |
| Arbitrage funds | 0.30% – 0.90% |
| Hybrid funds | 0.22% – 1.44% |
| Equity funds, including sectoral and thematic | 0.10% – 1.50% |
| ELSS (tax saver) funds | 0.41% – 1.40% |
| Index funds | 0.07% – 0.95% |
| Fund of funds | 0.02% – 1.20% |
| Solution-oriented funds (retirement and children’s) | 0.15% – 1.50% |
Rates are per annum and exclude GST. Each range runs from the lowest to the highest trail commission across the schemes of the AMCs on the Empanelled AMCs page, as per their commission structures for 1 July to 30 September 2026, up to a maximum of 1.50% p.a. AMCs revise their commission structures from time to time.
Regular and Direct Plans
Accrue distributes the Regular Plans of mutual fund schemes, on which it earns the trail commission shown above. The commission is met out of the expense ratio of the Regular Plan. Direct Plans carry no distribution commission and have a lower expense ratio. Accrue earns no commission on Direct Plans.
